This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone who wants to be a part of building a next-generation MMO from the ground up!
We love horses and the community that has been built around the Star Stable Online universe, but we are ready to move out of our comfort zone into a new world of adventures…..without horses .
We are expanding our universe into a new product line and as the Community Manager, you will take ownership of building our community and strategy, being the bridge between our players and our development. This role sits embedded within the Curie team as a pillar for ensuring our values transfer to our community, and has the larger Star Stable Entertainment Community Team as support in your growth.
The quest
We have a vision of the new game, but we need more than that. So this is where we hope you will create some magic together with us.
The position is a swiss army knife that will have the opportunity to engage the communities and social conversations across several platforms with a global focus. Communication and channel skills, a love for games and willingness to listen, engage and talk are essential for this position.
What we expect from you, as our Community Manager:
- Build and maintain future proof global community strategy with focus to improve brand awareness and affinity in growth markets. - Build and maintain relationships with key individuals externally, and other organizations.
- Partner with relevant teams to ensure legal compliance to market to minors, establish community moderation policies, community code of conduct, forum memberships.
- Be on top of trends, tools and tech that are relevant to the audience, the business, and the platforms/channels.
- Create and manage relationships and collaborations with other communities and storytellers that we love or inspire us.
- Develop and own channel and content strategy for the community.
- Create loyalty, trust and strengthen relationships with current and potential customers. - Be present and involved in conversations to offer human interactions between the studio and the community.
- Identify and map out community types and demographics of our community, the preferred channel(s) for each, factoring in where in the playing lifecycle these groups are.
- Own and drive content calendar and publishing timings for activations and programs that sparks conversation about product releases, brand awareness campaigns, the company.
- Champion healthy communities: responsible for humanizing and authentically serving and managing communities.
- Set up the community to be self-regulating and self-serving with easy-to-use reporting tools and systems.
- Be the champion of player communication and a gate keeper for what we bring to the conversation.
- Scale our unique impact in the world by increasing our digital footprint.
- Be a key stakeholder in bringing player feedback to the game feature roadmap.
Since we are at the very beginning of this journey, we don’t know exactly what form the game will take. It will let players explore epic worlds, build connections with others, and express themselves creatively. We like stories, but we also think the most compelling stories are those the players tell themselves. Our flagship MMO Star Stable Online is in its 10th year of continuous updates with a community that continues to grow in size and passion. That’s our bar for success.
About you:
- You have likely done a similar role before in games or in brands known for really connecting with their community.
- You love social media and other channels where 13+ girls are - you know the current trends and embrace how it impacts this audience.
- You are creative and willing to move fast, experiment and celebrate wins and failures with the Curie team.
- You love games - hopefully you’ve worked in them, but if not, you are a gamer at heart.
