The role of the Senior Minecraft Community Manager at Mojang is to act as a bridge between our studio and our fantastic community, advocating for players in the studio and engaging with them on the team’s behalf. You would be the first Stockholm-based community manager for Minecraft, working with our global Community team based in Redmond, the UK, and Japan. Your role will primarily be to look after community efforts for Minecraft, working closely with the Stockholm-based gameplay team, Social, Media, and Editorial teams.


You would be one of Minecraft’s ambassadors, engaging with potential players and building relationships with existing ones. Your focus would also be on using online listening tools to gauge sentiment around vanilla gameplay updates, advocating for player feature requests and requested fixes, and building engagement programs to celebrate the release of new features in Minecraft.


Everything from fast response times to a friendly manner means our players will feel valued, and in turn, place trust in our team and our brand.


Requirements
3+ years of experience with community engagement
Knowledge of and regular user of various social media platforms and live streaming
Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and time zones
Familiarity of game development process from start to finish
A passion for Minecraft, an understanding of the Minecraft community, and the conviction to put our players first
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, since you will be joining an international environment

Further on, you have a constant drive to learn and be adaptable to ever-changing community trends.
