As a Community Manager, you will be the cornerstone of Transfer Galaxy’s growth journey. You will be responsible for customer acquisition and retention in the Eritrean community in Europe. Your responsibility will be to drive the digital transformation and spread the use of Transfer Galaxy’s superior service within the Swedish- Eritrea community. You will set the strategy together with the Head of Community Management on how to best approach the community.
This role is vital to Transfer Galaxy's Diaspora Management Strategy and the successful candidate will continue to contribute to the success and deployment of this strategy.
As we’re a fast-growing company your tasks and assignments may shift over time and with short notice. Currently your responsibilities will include:
You'll engage with our customers from specific diaspora and work closely with the team to better understandand meet the needs of the diaspora for moving money.
The successful candidate will have existing links within the Eritrean diaspora and be able to identify relevant market and customer intelligence, be aware of the community activities, and lead community engagement and generation based on specific diaspora needs. You'll be able to travel to key areas and develop marketing strategies that'll engage communities and drive growth.
You'll be creative and flexible in your approach – at times attending specific community events or trade fairs; meeting key community leaders where we might build closer relationships.
You'll need to be driven and self-starting but skilled at deploying the support of the local key people within the Eritrean community and help the team to find suitable influencers to promote Transfer Galaxy.
You’ll Collaborate and coordinate with other community managers on best practises, knowledge sharing and on creating cross community initiatives
A strong background in leading business initiatives and teams is essential.
To be successful in this role you will have related substantial and significant experience in a similar role engaging with specific customer sets directly to drive business growth.
You'll have experience of using data to inform marketing decisions.
When we meet, you'll be able to talk with confidence about relationship building experience and demonstrate effective communication skills.
This is a nuanced role that requires a varied skill set, so will very much suit a creative and innovative individual with strong analytical and research skills. The successful candidate will have significant and substantial experience within the Eritrean diaspora and be able to demonstrate knowledge of regional nuances and challenges in the money transfer space. You'll also be skilled at languages – English (Fluent), Swedish, and Eritrean (Fluent).
Qualifications/Skills
Large social network within the Eritrean community in Europe.
Strong leadership abilities and comfort with public speaking (small and large groups)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to provide high-level customer service with astute attention to detail and organisation
An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong orientation toward results
Good analytical skills to improve effectiveness of initiatives and investments
Prior experience from the remittance industry is a plus
This is a full-time position with six-month probationary period. The candidate should be eligible to work in Sweden. The main office is in Orebro, however it’s possible to work from Stockholm Office.
