We are looking for an experienced and hands-on leader within the events and employee experience space to join the CommunityX team in HR, located in Stockholm. The CommunityX Manager will lead and drive the global work of building moments that connect our people, together with a team spread out over our largest office hubs.
The CommunityX team has a mission to amplify our Spotify community and create an environment for connections that elevate the employee experience. It’s about building community and a sense of belonging for Spotifiers wherever they are. In a distributed setting we have band members working from pretty much anywhere in the world.
The team focuses on 3 areas; being community builders, engagement experts and certified celebrators! We run initiatives that showcase our employer brand, that differentiates Spotify as a workplace and enables Spotifiers to feel included and excited about Life at Spotify.
CommunityX collaborates with, and supports, many other internal Spotify teams, tweaking approaches and processes, by looking at projects and tasks through an employer branding lens. In addition, the team is supporting annual Pride and World Mental Health Day alongside Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.
What you'll do:
You will plan and execute on the CommunityX strategy set by you and the Global Head of Learning & Development and CommunityX
You will lead the Global CommunityX team of five and be accountable for the performance and result of the team
You will lead and project manage inclusive events for all employees in Stockholm and support the team in the other hub-offices.
You will bring creative ideas for our bigger quarterly events, Spotify trips, and collaborate with our Live Events team to make sure live music and audio is an integral part of life in our offices
You will be responsible for the employee swag shop and merchandise
You will be a part of championing our employer brand, our Spotify values and cultural development.
You will be working at events at hours outside of the regular office hours (evenings and weekends sometimes) and travel occasionally
You will work out of the Stockholm Office, Central European Times Zone.



Who you are:
You have extensive experience of working with events within the tech, media or similar industries, in a global setting
You’re an experienced people manager and knows how to motivate team members, nurturing creativity, managing expectations clearly and ensuring that they bring structure to their projects
You are an events expert - great project manager- with experience in planning and producing both small events and large scale events, with the ability to solve unforeseen situations in a calm manner.
You are experienced at managing event agencies, external partners, and working with music industry professionals
You bring a can-do attitude to the table, your self-driven, have high attention to detail and have no problem with rolling up your sleeves to get the work done
You’re passionate about the potential of leading multiple events simultaneously and you thrive in a fast-paced environment
You always act with integrity, ensuring you represent Spotify’s HR department in a professional manner at all times
Highly collaborative, social, friendly and playful. High energy levels and the ability to innovate and work creatively with a solutions-focused mind.
Great level of written and spoken English and experience in communication
