Our new Competence Development Manager will be responsible for developing our sales and service organization and, with assistance from internal and external facilities, coordinate and develop all training within Region Europe.This position is in SMC's Region Europe, including more than 40 countries, with SMC sales and service personnel in 20 countries.The preferred base location is Sandviken but other countries in Europe where we have offices will be considered.Key performance areas The Competence Development Manager will be responsible for the identification, development, and implementation evaluation of competence development programs to support the long-term needs of the region. Your responsibilities are primarily to: - Establish and manage a Competence Development Center within the region to be able to educate existing and future personnel, mainly sales and service personnel.- Organize local and regional sales and technical training programs.- Cooperate with regional or country segment managers with regard to bridging needs, and provide significant output from performance reviews for the competence development plans of each organization.- Cooperate with other Business areas in finding and optimizing possible synergies between business areas regarding training. You will work closely with the local country HR people to ensure the quality of training according to the needs of the sales area's business planning.You report to VP/HR Manager Region Europe and participate in the global competence development network.Your profile The qualified candidate will have a university degree in education and experience from UGL leadership training or similar programs.You have strategic, managerial and educational skills and enjoy working in an international environment.Experience from strategic planning of training programs and experience from sales oriented organizations is desirable.Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is a prerequisite. The position will require traveling approximately 50-80 days per year, mainly within Europe.
