Right now, we’re looking for a Competence Development Manager to join us in a key role in enabling competence expansion that increases our agility, team performance, individual growth and employee satisfaction – all in line with the Sandvik way of doing things. The preferred location for this position is in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station. International travel is normally a natural part of your job. Other locations in Europe could be possible as well.
What you’ll be doing
In this position, you map the competence development needs in our business, and you identify, design, implement and evaluate training programs to support our growth. In your work, you utilize the existing knowledge within our organization and bring new perspectives and insights to the equation to package trainings for future needs – always in coherence with our global performance management process. Presenting initiatives to secure future talent and competencies and defining clear career paths are part of your job, and you provide managers with effective techniques for attracting, retaining, and developing the workforce. You coordinate and manage our training programs within agreed budgets or limits and make sure the organization’s training resources are allocated effectively, in addition, you’ll be the trainer in some of our trainings worldwide.
You keep up to date with development and innovations in the competence development industry so that our activities remain current and relevant. To be an active part of competence development networks across Sandvik Group and collaborating with external training vendors will be essential to your mission.
What you need to succeed
We’re looking for someone with experience in working with competence development on a global scale and who are used to facilitating trainings. It’s a big plus if you’ve worked with online trainings. You know your way in Office 365 and are fluent in English, both in speaking and writing, other languages are beneficial. If you have experience from working in a technical business, it’s a plus.
Your personal qualities are important to us - you’re a communicative, ambitious, and business-minded person who’s comfortable standing in front of an audience. You’re flexible and comfortable operating in both administration- and visionary work. You’re passionate and eager to create new ways of working, and with your brilliant inventiveness and curiosity, you’re a true asset to our company!
