At IKEA centres our aim is to develop highly performing, knowledgeable people within all areas of our business. A prerequisite for this is a common approach and process for competence development that support the business needs and ensures that competence gaps are closed.

We are now aligning ourselves as ONE IKEA Centres and defining common processes and ways of working. As a consequence of this we need a common approach to competence development.

As Competence Development Manager you will be responsible for competence development within IKEA Centres ensuring that competence development concepts, processes and tools deliver to our business ambitions. You will secure that our competence development meets the business needs and close the connected competence gaps. A prerequisite for this is aligned job titles with common competence profiles and connected Learning Paths, a work/development lead by you.

In this role you will be part of different global projects and steering groups as well as the IKEA Competence development Matrix. You will be responsible for implementing IKEA Approaches to learning such as "Learning in the Business". Within IKEA Centres you will be the speaking partner with the appointed matrix responsible as well as the line organisation regarding competence development.

To secure an efficient and consistent competence development process you will implement "My Learning" and other relevant tools in the area of competence development.

Is this the right challenge for you?
To succeed in the role you need:
-Have experience from driving Competence Development in an IKEA organisation.
-You should have a broad business perspective with the capability to translate business needs into Competence Development solutions.
-You must have a deep understanding of the IKEA way of working with Competence Development and tools.

You have a high level of influencing capability and are building strong working relationships across all parts of the organisation. As a person you are proactive and have the ability plan and organize complex tasks. You have great communication skills with good interpersonal skills. You are self-reliant and self-motivated with proven ability to plan and coordinate competing priorities and agendas. Your oral and written English is excellent

This role demands a deep understanding of our values and culture, ways of working and is a real ambassador for the IKEA values.

You will report to the HR Manager for IKEA Centres. The position is based in Malmö, other placement within our business could be discussed.
