Northvolt Systems has a mission to design and produce the greenest and safest battery systems for Industrial and Grid applications, and we're therefore looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our team. Quality and safety is what our heart beats for and we are looking for a Compliance Engineer to work with interdisciplinary teams in our Stockholm office.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving our products’ compliance and certification roadmaps and make sure we are complying with applicable standards requirements to obtain market access in many regions worldwide.

We are looking for a driven and technical compliance engineer who leads the discussion regarding any type of compliance requirements for our products. You will be working with many different Engineers and Project Managers, so communication is the key to success.
Key responsibilities:
Drive product compliance projects for CE, UL and other markets
Create compliance and certification roadmaps for our products
Coordinate the requirements with design teams
Conduct product safety evaluations
Be the point of contact with certification bodies
Support the coordination of product testing and certification with 3rd parties
Compile and maintain technical files and issue declarations of conformity for EU and corresponding documentation for other markets
Skills & Requirements
Technically proficient in areas of Electrical and Mechanical engineering, EMC knowledge is desired
+ 5 years of experience working with product compliance
Experience in applying current European and American standards and legislative acts for Lithium-ion battery products (SELV and Low/Hazardous Voltage), Maritime, Battery ESS and Grid Code experience is desired
Experience in LVD, EMCD, RED, REACH and RoHS and Battery directive/regulation is desired
Experience in self declaration and certification of battery products within Europe and other markets
Experience in certification of wireless product within and outside Europe is desired
Basic understanding of safety and functional safety
Knowledge of chemical and material compliance is desired
