What you will do

As Compliance Manager within the Piab Vacuum Conveying (VC) division, you will drive and continue develop our product compliance and certification processes. You will ensure Piab products are compliant with global regulatory requirements regarding food contact (FDA, EC1935/2004), machine directive, electrical safety, ATEX, EMC. Piab is a global company- which also means Piab product offering must comply with various local regulatory, such as UL, CSA, CCC, Swiss ordinance, UKCA. The role involves performing assessments of requirements, managing a wide variety of tasks in the product regulatory area as well as collaboration and communication with teams inside organisation (R&D, Operations, Application engineers) and external consultants.
You will:
Define and lead cross functional compliance and certification activities
Stay up to date with relevant regulations. Monitor, investigate, assess applicability, and inform on product regulatory and certification requirements.
Manage certification process both internally and externally (identify requirements, ensure documentation is prepared and submitted, communicate with certification bodies etc.)
Coordinate audits (ATEX, ISO9001 and ISO 14001) (ensure preparation, carry out audit with external partners and ensure indicated changes are implemented)
Keep compliance documentation up-to-date and easily accessible for all stakeholders. Secure documentation in PLM-system and continuously ensure the correct documents are available
Support new product introduction projects to ensure products are designed to comply with requirements
Answer and provide necessary certification information to authorities, certification bodies and customers
Guide and interpret regulatory frame work for R&D - how design can be done to reach product compliance
You will report directly to the Director Product Management, Vacuum Conveying division. The role may require some international travel with a maximum of 20 days per year. The role is located in our office in Stockholm (Danderyd), Sweden.

Structured with a systematic approach and detail orientation. Able to simplify complex topics and devise plans how to tackle all the items step by step
Effective in your communication; you communicate in a clear, precise, and structured way. You speak with conviction, and you have the ability to present ideas successfully
Pragmatic, positive and collaborative with an “everything is possible” attitude
Passionate about technology
Skills, experience, and/or educational background:
Solid experience in compliance work (food contact regulations, ATEX, machine directive, etc.) preferably in pharmaceutical or food process industry
Knowledge in HW development of embedded devices, electronics, and mechanics
Experience from risk assessment / FMEA methodology
Experience from B2B industries with intense focus on R&D and technology preferred
5+ years of working experience from compliance management, quality management or engineering
Strong academic record with a master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
Excellent English and Swedish skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of other languages is a merit but not required
