We are now looking for a Privacy Compliance Officer to join the Global Privacy Team.
As privacy is a rapidly growing legal area within Ericsson, we need to strengthen the Global Privacy Team with a compliance specialist in privacy to support the organization globally. We cover many legal areas and jurisdictions. This broad outlook together with the fast pace of technical innovation that Ericsson drives provides new legal challenges constantly. To develop and maintain policies and procedures for the operation of the Privacy Compliance Program providing leadership and guidance operationalizing the global privacy program working in alignment with the other group and market area privacy compliance officers, privacy legal counsels and other stakeholders in Ericsson. Design, develop, implement, coordinate and monitor the global privacy program, aligned with other compliance program activities. Responsible for conducting appropriate monitoring of compliance training and awareness programs. Review projects to identify and mitigate privacy compliance risks presented. Assist with or conduct privacy compliance-related merger and acquisition (M&A) due diligences and complete integration activities, as needed.

You will
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the operation of the Privacy Compliance Program providing leadership and guidance

Conduct appropriate monitoring of privacy compliance training and awareness programs.
Review projects to identify and mitigate privacy compliance risks presented.
Assist with or conduct privacy compliance-related merger and acquisition (M&A) due diligences and complete integration activities, as needed.
Review Privacy Regulations
Assist Group Data Protection Officer with regulatory required activities following from a.o. General Data Protection Regulation.



To be successful in the role you must have
Education: Relevant university degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a specialization in IT-, Technology-, Privacy law
Proficient in English, second language desirable
Compliance and Business Competence
Good presentation, education, communication & leadership skills
At least 5 years working experience with compliance activities
Experience in European data protection work – GDPR - with a curiosity about data and cyber security.
Good business knowledge/understanding.
Good networking ability and communication skills including the ability to handle internal and external contacts.
International experience is an advantage.
Ability to independently handle and lead legal matters and prioritize conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a very fast-paced environment.
High level of Integrity and strong analytical skills.
Driven standout colleague who initiates and motivates changes.
Solid understanding and curiosity about new technologies.
Independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of working.
Certification by IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) such as CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPP/US or equivalent highly recommended
