Compliance Officer

Right now, Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our global Compliance team – someone who’s passionate about conducting business with honesty, integrity and high ethical standards to meet legal requirements as well as stakeholder expectations.
Your mission
In this position you work to promote and drive compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, supporting a culture of integrity and raising awareness of all compliance-related matters throughout the organization. Training and educating people in compliance topics is an important part of the job.

Your assignments include to:
drive the global compliance programs: anti-bribery and anti-corruption, data privacy, trade and competition.
identify compliance risks, advise on compliance activities and set priorities for the activities in order to reduce compliance risks.
work independently and closely with the business, seek to understand how the compliance program applies to the different operations and how to ease the risks you identify.

You report directly to the SMS Chief Compliance Officer. The location of the position is Sweden, or an SMS location in Europe to be agreed on.
Your character
We’re looking for someone with solid experience of working in similar positions, holding a relevant degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or any other related field. Previous experience from international companies or organizations is advantageous, as well as from the diverse range of IT systems and tools applicable for this area. As we’re a global organization, you need excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, while knowledge in Swedish or other languages is beneficial.
With an energetic, persistent, and process-oriented approach, you look at our business from a broader perspective and you enjoy turning complex matters into understandable and effective solutions. Solid communication skills help you build trust and develop global networks and collaborations. With your persistent, organized and self-driven features, you know how to prioritize and are a fast learner.
