What we offer
We want you to join the Investigation Unit in the Corporate Compliance & Ethics Office, a department within Group Legal & Corporate Governance.
The Compliance & Ethics Office develops, implements, and maintains compliance programs within Volvo Cars. The programs cover the company’s risk in the areas of anti-corruption, fair competition, data privacy, trade sanctions, export control and human rights.
The Investigation Unit is a small and independent part of the Compliance & Ethics Office, but it is at the same time well integrated in the global compliance team. The Unit´s main responsibility is to promote a Speak Up culture within Volvo Cars and to conduct investigations.

What you will do
You will work close to the Head of Investigation Unit. Together you will monitor and manage the Volvo Cars global whistleblowing system and conduct internal investigations relating to suspected violations of the Code of Conduct. This includes primarily investigations into the areas of bribery and corruption, fraud, and other serious misconduct.
As a team member of the Compliance & Ethics Office, you will also be expected to handle a variety of tasks, all aiming at supporting the continuous improvement of the compliance program. It means we need you to participate in keeping the compliance framework relevant and effective, engage in compliance trainings for Volvo Cars employees, support and advise the business in understanding compliance risks and keep abreast of new laws and regulatory requirements.
Occasionally, you will be involved in Volvo Cars’ different strategic projects. In that role you will support with legal advice from a compliance and ethics perspective.
As an investigator and a member of the Compliance & Ethics Office you should also enjoy travelling when required.
You will be based in Gothenburg (HQ) and report to the Head of Investigation Unit.
Who you are
You are a multifaceted legal professional with a true interest in compliance and ethics work, in particular investigations. You hold a law degree and have some 5 years of experience from a renowned law firm or as inhouse counsel, including experience in corporate compliance work. If you have relevant experience in internal investigations, it is a big plus. Experience of working in a global organization is a merit.
You have strong analytical skills and a high level of integrity, combined with good judgement when making decisions and giving qualified advice.
You thrive in fast-paced changing environments and are capable to plan, organize and deliver your work in an efficient and timely way.
Furthermore, you are a team player with excellent written and spoken communications skills, tailoring your approach to different audiences in both Swedish and English.
