Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The Group Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) function is a newly established function at Scania. To the Group Compliance function, we are now looking for a Compliance Officer with specific focus on AML to support the Scania Group including both the commercial segment that is selling our products and services and the financial functions providing financing products to Scania’s customers. The position is in the Scania Headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden. The Group Compliance function supports the global Scania organisation in reducing compliance risks by providing knowledge in terms of policies, guidelines, trainings, reporting and advice and by assisting the organisation in designing compliance structures and processes in anti-corruption, AML and competition law. This role will give the right candidate the possibility to influence and develop the Group Compliance organisation and offer the unique opportunity to address AML risks from a holistic perspective in all Scania activities including both Scania’s commercial and financial products and services.

Main responsibilities


• Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to Scania’s global organisation on AML risks
• Create, review and update AML policies and training materials and oversee the implementation of such policies and controls
• Create and provide trainings and communications to Scania’s global organisation
• Support the organisation with identification and management of relevant AML risks, including regulatory watch
• Support and develop a culture of compliance and integrity
• Coordinate and work closely together with other functions on different compliance topics

Profile:

We are looking for you who has a genuine interest with AML and desire to understand and address the topic from a risk-based manner and leading such work. The position allows excellent structuring and prioritization skills and ability to work independently and manage own projects. Since you will represent your organisation in an external context including interactions with regulators and supervisory authorities it is of importance that you have excellent communication skills. We also value good collaborative skills, high integrity and an open-minded approach seeking practical and integrated solutions. We will put great value in your personality.

Requirements


• academic legal or finance background and in an international company or law firm
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with AML, preferably in a second line of defence role in both the commercial and financial services sectors
• Experience in digital and data driven ways of working with AML (design of KRI’s, KYC and CDD, monitoring and internal controls)
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, additional language skills are advantages
• The position may, in the future, require international travels
