COMPLIANCE OFFICER AT SCANIA INVESTIGATION OFFICE HUB

To the Group Compliance function, we are now looking for a Compliance Officer with a specific focus on internal investigations within the scope of the Scania Whistleblowing System.

The position is in the Scania Headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden.

The Scania Investigation Office Hub (SIOH) is a function organised within our Group Compliance function. SIOH is the contact point within Scania Group Compliance, which functions as investigation office and local intake channel for whistleblowing hints. SIOH is responsible for recording hints received through various reporting channels, conducting plausibility checks and categorises the case and if the case is substantiated assigns a case to the investigation units for investigations. SIOH legally assess the facts of the case identified during investigation and recommend sanctions, if applicable.

This role will give the right candidate the possibility to join a team that supports the Scania Whistleblowing System which is an important part of a strong compliance management system in a global environment.

Main responsibilities


• Communicating with Whistleblowers
• Performing plausibility checks
• Conducting legal assessments and recommending disciplinary measures
• Consulting stakeholders with regard to liability risks
• Reporting to management
• create, review and update relevant policies and training materials and support the implementation of such policies and controls
• Support and develop a culture of compliance and integrity

Profile:

We are looking for you who has:


• a genuine interest in investigations
• experience in international law firms and/or international companies
• knowledge and practical experience in criminal law, investigations
• experience working pro-actively in a responsible and independent way
• excellent structuring and prioritization skills and ability to work independently and in a team
• good collaborative skills, high integrity and an open-minded approach seeking practical and integrated solutions.
• good analytical skills to perform a triage of allegations to evaluate their credibility / plausibility check and experience in performing legal assessment / mapping the investigation findings to the legal provisions  / providing clarification on legal implications of the investigation findings
• experience in gathering and analysis of data and ability to produce high-quality reports in English.
• excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with a wide range of parties and ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations.

Requirements


• academic legal background and in an international company or law firm
• experience working with criminal and / or administrative investigations for about 5 years or more, as well as having a solid legal understanding of the investigation landscape
• Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish and English, additional language skills are advantages
