Come and join our team of Experts and Compliance Officers at the function Business Compliance within the Business Area Surveillance. You will as Compliance Officer within FAR/DFARS help enable and direct our business. Within the function Business Compliance, you will find the following compliance areas:

FAR/DFARS, Defence Federal Acquisition Regulation, US
*

QDC, Qualifying Defence Contracts, UK
*

E&C, Ethics and Compliance
*

GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation
*

IM, Information Management



We are now growing the function Business Compliance. The function has sites in Järfälla and Gothenburg and the compliance function covers operations in Sweden, South Africa, Germany, UAE and Finland. The function also has coordination within the compliance area towards our Operational Countries (United States, United Kingdom and Australia).

You will be part of our team of Experts and Compliance Officers either in Järfälla (Stockholm) or in Gothenburg.



Your role

You will in your role within the function Business Compliance work close to our operations and other functions to monitor, guide and support operational execution. You will be our expert in interpreting, supporting and guiding within the requirements of FAR/DFARS to ensure that we are compliant.



As FAR/DFARS Compliance Officer, you will take full responsibility for:

To become our specialist within FAR/DFARS
*

Subject matter expert for FAR/DFARS during bid preparations and the tender phase
*

Support our operations in reporting on current and future contracts under FAR/ DFARS
*

Monitoring ongoing FAR/DFARS projects
*

Interface towards authorities to ensure Saab compliance in ongoing projects and secure that our goals are fulfilled
*

Sales team support including team interaction with customers and partners as well as Saab's central sales organization (Global Markets)
*

Inform and establish commitment for the organization in order to meet the customers' expectations and to ensure commercial success
*

Coordinate and interact with our Operating Countries subject matter experts



The work is both of a strategic- and event driven nature where both initiative and the ability to evaluate situations and options are needed, sometimes in a time critical manner.



Your profile

You have a compliance or commercial background with focus on business and customer understanding.
Preferably, you have experience from previous work with defense contracts (FAR/DFARS) and the US industry, but it is not a pre-requisite. The ideal candidate should have the potential to grow also into the QDC (Qualifying Defence Contracts) area.



Your skills and experience

A good compliance understanding and experience from project follow up and contract negotiations is highly qualifying
*

Experience from work with advanced procurement regulations and implementation of these into customer projects is positive
*

You are comfortable working both independently within your field of competence as well as with other interfaces in order to secure quality, to meet directives and deadlines
*

You are a team player, willing to walk the extra mile for your team and its objectives
*

You have drive, perseverance and an interest for understanding the circumstances and conditions relevant for each customer solution and business case
*

You are prepared to travel and learn new things and you are comfortable in different environments and cultures



Required skills

*

Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification
*

Business- and/or commercial background and understanding
*

Some years of relevant experience
*

Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
*

Conducted courses regarding US ITAR/EAR is meritorious



This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.



What you will be a part of

The Business Area Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.

The unit Business Compliance is organized under the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
