Arbetsbeskrivning
At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology, and we always aim to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Compliance is a vital part in reaching our goals. We’re now looking for a Compliance Officer to join us – someone who’s thrilled by protecting and strengthening the value for our employees, customers, suppliers and communities – and work across our whole Rock Tools division.
With us, you’re allowed to develop both on a personal and professional level, while keeping a healthy work-life balance and a work environment where freedom and responsibilities go hand in hand! Are you in for an exciting journey? Keep reading!
Your mission
With a strong risk-based approach as your inner compass, you drive, advise, support and monitor compliance and risk management activities for the Rock Tools division’s area of responsibility, including coordination of our hosted Sales Areas (currently China and India). You ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, as well as identifying risks, setting priorities, and supporting the responsible organizations in mitigation implementations. The main risk and opportunity area in you scope are data privacy, but you’ll also cover areas such as anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, Speak Up, enterprise risk management and business continuity planning. You do this by always bringing clear, simple and business-driven support to your stakeholders and making the concept of compliance a part of the everyday business practices through teamwork and a collaborative approach.
Developing and/or deploying training tools, templates, and processes are also part of your role, in order to manage compliance and business continuity risks. By understanding the business at the process, system and people level, you’re able to find the real root causes when dealing with potential issues. You engage the business in doing the right thing, while challenging them to ensure quality and relevance, keeping continuous improvement at the heart of what you do. Simply said, you help us increase the compliance maturity level throughout the whole division.
This position offers you flexible working conditions, with your base in either Sandviken or Västberga (Stockholm). Some international travel is included in this position during normal circumstances.
Your character
We’re looking for someone with work experience and knowledge within compliance rules, routines and processes – on a level solid enough to independently drive development of our compliance work. You’re confident leading projects in a global corporate environment. With a good IT understanding, you easily fetch data, conduct analyses and make presentations. We believe you have a relevant degree in your backpack, such as legal, economics or business – or have acquired equivalent knowledge from a working career. When it comes to language, you communicate professionally in verbal and written English.
Personally, you’re the perfect combination of a theoretically inclined and socially communicative person. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills helps you to drive change in an environment with indirect reports and senior stakeholders. You’re not afraid to take place, making sure that things are happening to reach deadlines while also supporting hands-on whenever needed. You have a good ability to create structure and ways of working between different organizations, as well as prioritizing with a sense of urgency.
About us
We’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial, and we believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. We also give you the freedom to find that perfect mix between work, family life and interests. Visit our website, LinkedIn or Facebook to get to know us further.
