Compliance Officer Student Worker - Stockholm


We are now looking for a Student Worker to join our Nasdaq Compliance team in Stockholm. Nasdaq is recognized around the globe as a diversified worldwide financial technology, trading and information services provider to the capital markets serving businesses and investors from over 50 offices in 26 countries across six continents – and in every capital market.


As a Student Worker in Compliance, you will be part of the core compliance team focusing on compliance and audits for Nasdaq’s Nordic regulated entities with main focus on Nasdaq Stockholm. You will work in a small team of driven and dedicated compliance officers and lawyers reporting to the European Head of Compliance.


Your role and responsibilities:


Support the Compliance team in working with management and operational departments to develop, formalize and maintain new and current policies and procedures to ensure that the regulated business is compliant with applicable securities laws and EU regulation
Ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to prevent, detect and correct compliance failures
Participate in the maintenance and development of a solid compliance framework for the regulated entities, mainly for Nasdaq Stockholm
Participate in responding to requests from supervisory authorities and other regulators
Support the Compliance team in reporting to the Board of Directors in relation to compliance matters
Follow up on new regulation and engage with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure compliant implementation


What we expect:


You are a law student (jur.) or business law student (HA(jur.)) who has at least finished the second year of studies.
Experience from another relevant student worker position is preferred.
Experience with working with financial regulation is an advantage.
You have taken a course in EU law and have a basic understanding of the EU legislative process.
You have a genuine curiosity about the financial markets and interest in financial regulation.
We are looking for someone with high integrity and strong analytical skills


To suit this position, you are a team player but also enjoy working individually and you thrive to produce high quality work within deadlines. In addition, you are detailed-oriented and self-driven and take responsibility. Additionally, you have strong communication skills, also in writing.


You enjoy a fast pace working environment. Furthermore, your English and Swedish language skills (both written and spoken) are fluent.
