Our Exciting Opportunity
Ericsson's Compliance Office has the group responsibility for three compliance areas: Antitrust (compliance with competition law), Anti-corruption (compliance with corruption and bribery law) and Trade Compliance (compliance with customs, sanctions, and export control laws).
We are looking for a compliance professional to build out and implement an outstanding third-party management program to help ensure that Ericsson’s business partners and other third parties meet our expectations for doing business with integrity, transparency and the right way!
We expect you to focus on third party due diligence internationally - so some travel may be required! This position reports to the Head of Third Party & Customer Compliance Management.
You will
Within Third Party Management (TPM)
Support Ericsson’s TPM program
Oversee personnel conducting due diligence on third parties, including reviewing and revising due diligence assessments
Independently lead due diligence activities on third parties including drafting of related reports as requested by the Head of Third Party Management and/or the Heads of Market Area or Business Area Compliance
Collect, review and assess due diligence material including questionnaires, online research, and external reports
Draft and enhance TPM processes, guidance documents, and other supporting materials
Guide or train employees on TPM process
Develop strategies for mitigating risks posed by third parties and strengthening the internal control system
Conduct training on TPM process and third-party risks
Coordinate with, and respond to feedback from, multiple teams involved in TPM process
Develop, implement and improve collection, analyses and assessment of structured and unstructured data/critical metrics related to the TPM process across Ericsson’s IT landscaping
Coordinate external providers (external counsel and due diligence providers) as appropriate
Support the Business Partner Review Boards (BPRBs) at the Group level and provide guidance and support to the Market Area BPRBs as needed. Provide clear instructions and guidance for parameters in which approvals, non-approvals are considered
Optimize and continuously improve the third party due diligence process, including providing mechanisms for proper documentation, collection and storage in relation to the third party management process
Act as the SME on third party management within the compliance organization and the Ericsson Group
In General
Maintain a sound understanding of the local business activities and applicable laws and regulations
Provide regular updates to leadership teams, the compliance organization and others, as needed, regarding third party issues
Work with the Head of Third Party Management to ensure that any interactions with authorities and regulators are coordinated
Draft compliance-related reports as required by Head of Third Party Management or the Chief Compliance Officer
To be successful in the role you must have
High level of integrity with character consistent with Ericsson values of respect, professionalism and perseverance; must be empathetic and willing to listen
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Advanced project management skills
Master of Law, Business, Accounting or other university degree suitable for compliance
Fluent in English, second language desirable
Working experience 5 years in compliance, legal or other relevant field (finance, audit)
Experience in developing and implementing process-related data analytics and important system-based metrics
Knowledge of Ericsson’s IT landscape (especially SAP, Salesforce) is a plus
Experience working in compliance area, at least 3 years of anti-bribery and corruption compliance experience with a particular focus on third party management and/or investigations
Experience in antitrust, competition, AML, data privacy or trade compliance is a plus
Good business knowledge/understanding
Excellent networking ability and social skills including the ability to handle executive level internal and external contacts, including government authorities and regulators
International experience and cultural awareness
Independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of working
Willingness to travel up to 30%
