About us
Our group, Active and Structural Parts, consists of 17 engineers working in two teams. We are developing electric machines and Inverter integration, from concept start to industrialization phases and aftermarket. Our vision is to develop the most sustainable and desirable Electric Machines for the market.
As a Component Design Engineer, you will coordinate and lead the work within your area of responsibility and develop components and technical solutions to reach the objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time and budget. Further, you will create and release technical documentation, plan and follow up status of component development and verification testing. You will also initiate and assure corrective actions when deviations occur. Close contact with other areas within VCC Research & Development, Purchasing and Manufacturing as well as various suppliers is necessary.

Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have product development knowledge from working with designing electrical machines and an education in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics. You have at least 4 years of documented experience working with advanced CATIA V5 modelling, great communications skills and fluency in English, both orally and in writing.
It is a merit to have previous experience with leading a cross functional developing team and to have the mindset, understanding and experience of agile ways of working, also if you possess a driving licence “B”, valid in Sweden. To excel in this role, you need to have great multitasking skills and feel comfortable prioritising. You are an open-minded individual, who has a high ability to communicate with different stakeholders and to make decisions. You present integrity and courage in your team, and with your inclusiveness you are a strong team player who takes the lead when needed. You have a great level of energy with the ability to motivate and encourage other team members and people you collaborate with.
