Component Engineer

Responsibilities
As a Component Engineer you will be a part of the Electronics and Microwave department. Your work is performed in a multifunctional team, with several international interfaces to both design engineers and experts in component engineering. But also “customers” to other engineering functions as well as sourcing- , operations- and quality departments. This role  requires a structured way of working, accuracy to handle information and  lot of co-ordination with other groups and over different locations. 

- Handling of Part Change Notifications (PCN) and shortages for circuit boards in series production
- Involves administration of PCN database, follow-up and reporting of cases
- Incoming cases must be assessed, prioritized and activities must be defined
- Performing component evaluations, tests or possible design changes

Qualifications
- B.Sc. or higher degree in Electrical and/or Component Engineering
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Skilled in reading, evaluating, handling data sheets and sourcing of electrical components, cables and connectors.
- Some knowledge in creating and maintaining wiring diagrams, schematics and layouts for PCBs and generating BOMs as well as manufacturing documents 
- Experience in doing electrical measurements and test  and reporting of this.
 
Meritorious skills: 
- Fluent in Swedish, both written and spoken
- Familiarity in using Cadence
- Experience in electrical design and installations in hazardous environments, requiring Ex approvals
- Experience in EMC/EMI testing and measurements  

Success in this role requires a customer focused individual with excellent communications skills, both written and spoken. You need to be action oriented, structured, teamplayer, social and not afraid to stand firm in an international environment.
