Westermo is looking for a Component Engineer to Västerås
As Component engineer at Westermo you will be part of the R&D hardware team and your main responsibility is to secure that correct components are selected for current, as well as new designs. You will handle our component library regarding life-cycle, LTB and PCN issues. You will be a key player in our development projects supporting them with component information. You work closely with our hardware engineers, component suppliers, production and purchase department. Part of the role is also to support product projects or external customers in reliability calculations and keep the component library up to date regarding reliability aspects. The Component Engineer role is a new role at Westermo giving you possibility to influence the role.
Qualifications and personal skills
We are looking for a person who has more than two years experience in a Component Engineering role. You have worked with electronic design and testing and you have experience of reliability calculations. You are used to handle priorities and deadlines, have social skills and are used to work with other departments and handle several tasks in parallel. You have a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or similar and good skills in writing and speaking Swedish as well as English.
