Sourcing at Husqvarna Division is responsible for securing quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply within the division. The Sourcing Electric Commodities is responsible for procuring all direct material used in Husqvarna’s Electric products with a global set up of both plants and suppliers. Our task is to ensure that the greatest value is provided to the organization´s internal customers and thereby positively affecting the overall business result. A key enabling role for achieving this is the Component Engineer.
As Component Engineer you are part of a highly motivated team of Commodity Managers and Operational Buyers and you report to the Sourcing Director Commodities. Your primary responsibilities are to secure sourcing results in the flow of product development and maintenance with both cost and risk mitigation in focus to support Commodity Managers in different ways to improve commercial results.

This is a completely new role, which means that you yourself can be involved in building and shaping the content.
Main tasks
· Design-support in projects
· Coordinate Component Service-business that is outsourced to 3rd part
· Coordinate PCBA maintainaince
· Drive fire-fightings (Ie. at component allocations)
· Carry out an analysis of the BOM, with the aim of developing alternative components / dual source + Asia components
· Participate in Component Forums
· At EOL, LTB, obsolete or similar, identify and implement alternative component
· Owner of Husqvarna component database
· Build and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and that service level commitments are met
Your profile
To be a suitable candidate for the role, we believe you have 3-5 years experience of working within electrical engineering/design. You should have some ability to read circuit diagrams, BOMs and have a good understanding of surface mounted (passive and active) components. It is an advantage if you have experience of purchasing work regarding electronic components, or a comparable area. As a person you are a structured and self-motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills who likes to work with both internal and external stakeholders. You have the ability to independently manage the product maintenance flow to ensure optimal sourcing results. Swedish and English language skills are required.
