Your role

As a component engineer of standard components, you will be involved in the work with all of the sections components. You run technical issues, perform continuous monitoring and have a close and good communication with our manufacturers. You will be part of a team within Supply Management meaning close work with design, sourcing and production.

The role is varied and includes work in development projects, where you have a close cooperation with designers within Saab Surveillance. You support by selecting the right components to optimize Saab's products. The team is responsible for over 200 000 unique articles, the respective parameters and metadata.

Our team is divided in both Huskvarna, Gothenburg and Stockholm. We are an ever-evolving organisation and you are expected to contribute to the improvement of our processes and ways of working.

Since we are a Centre of Excellence for Surveillance (1/3 of Saab revenue) and our manufacturers are located worldwide travels will be expected to some extent.

Your profile

We assume that you have a university degree or equivalent and that you have several years of experience in mechanics and mechanical elements. We are looking for a person with experience from working with components as a component engineer or equivalent.

The person we are looking for has an open mind, is well organized and have a structured way of working. You should also be flexible and solutions oriented.

We are organized in different teams which makes it very important to be comfortable in cooperation with different types of interfaces such as souring, design, project managers, manufacturers a.s.o.

You are familiar with databases and have experience from managing big amounts of data. It is also very beneficial to have experience and skills working with advanced excel. You are also fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
