Component Owner

Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Gothenburg delivers products and solutions to all truck brands within the Volvo group. The Driver Functions & Electronics group are now recruiting a Component Owner.

Position Description:
We are looking for a component owner to one of our Infotainment ECU components. The tasks of a component owner will be requirement collecting, writing of technical specifications, supplier technical contacts & follow-up, integration of components and also release of component documentation into our production management system. The work includes changes and modifications of current components as well as studies and development of completely new products. All concerned components are developed by suppliers, and the main responsibility is to be the technical contact towards the supplier and perform a continuous follow-up of the supplier. Depending on personal skills, experience and interest there are also possibilities to participate in advanced engineering projects.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage and work tight together with the supplier of the Infotainment component

- Continuously follow up the development by the supplier: Issue/forward questions, problem reports and change orders and tasks between the supplier and internal stakeholders.

- Interface to aftermarket, global manufacturing, quality and purchasing

- Responsible for delivering a configured, SW and HW integrated and basic tested component

- Responsible for achieving the committed quality /delivery/ feature target for the deliveries in project phase as well as in maintenance phase

Qualifications:
- Requirement management

- Embedded SW development

- Supplier management

- Experience of development in the automotive industry

- Fluent in English, spoken and written

Minimum Years of Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the infotainment area or in the automotive industry

Minimum Education Required:
Master of Science in electrical- or computer engineering or similar.
