This is what your new colleagues do
Electronic Hardware and Testing is a diversified, cross functional group, with responsibility from design of wire harness to our Industrial & Marine projects, owning range of power system components, Sensors and team developing test infrastructure (HiL systems) to improve test coverage & quality of engine ECUs, marine controls & ECUs used in emerging areas like electro mobility both on land and Sea.
We now looking for you who is curious and have genuine interest in sustainability to be part of our growing team as component owner. Using both your knowledge and curiosity to find the best solutions together with your colleagues in EH&T.
What you will do
As a component owner you will be part of sub team within EH&T, this team is end - end responsible for various power system components like alternators, starter motors, battery equalizers & also some sensors.
As a component owner you are responsible for requirement collection from system owners, legal teams, other stake holders to compile them as a technical specification to suppliers.
Be technical contact to purchase, supplier. Continuously follow up the development by the supplier: Issue/forward questions, problem reports and change orders and tasks between the supplier and internal stakeholders.
Interface to aftermarket, global manufacturing, quality and purchasing.
Provide installation requirements to the team responsible for packaging and installation.
Validate documentation relating to the components, according to the system requirements.
Perform the corresponding HW releases according to the project plan and make sure deliveries are on time.
Lead and propose quality and cost improvement actions.

You and your skills
Mandatory requirements
You have 2+ years of experience of Product Development preferably in the automotive industry.
Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic components.
You show proven excellence in handling embedded systems.
Great team player with agile mindset
You have been working with system weaver or any requirement management applications.
You’re a holder of a university degree within Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar
You are fluent in spoken and written English
Good to have
Volvo GTT systems, process and tools knowledge is an asset.
You have work experience as function owner.
Experience of the DVP process (Develop Product & Aftermarket Product Portfolio) is a merit.
You have experience in testing electronic control units.
You are an excellent networker and surely cross-functional with great communication skills
You are result-oriented, with a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm
You have been working successfully in an agile or lean environment
Your “think-outside-of-the-box-attitude” is valued by your co-workers
You have fun teaching and explaining complex correlations
