Kollmorgen Automation AB is a part of Kollmorgen and we have our headquarter in Mölndal, Sweden. The target is to provide world leading technology for the rapidly growing market of AGVs and Mobile Robots. About 100 employees are working with product development, professional services, sales, marketing and finance.

About the position
As a Component Owner Electronics you will be a part of our Operations department consisting of about five persons working within Hardware Development and Supply Chain.

In this position you will be a part of the Hardware Team, which today consists of three persons - two Component Owners and one Hardware Engineer. The team is working mainly with electronics, e.g. controllers, sensors and scanners which we provide to our partners together with our software solutions for AGVs and mobile robots.

As a Component Owner Electronics, you will have component ownership for a number of hardware components with focus on sensors and scanners. The majority of the components are co-developed with a third-party, which means that it is important to create good specifications and perform thorough component evaluations rather than own design work.

In your daily work as a Component Owner Electronics you will:

- Be in contact with our suppliers to ensure product development, continuous improvements and compliance with specifications, requirements, standards
- Ensure that the product / component has the right quality, the right cost, the right testability, the right producibility, the right usability, in accordance with standards and environmental requirements


- Life cycle management of the product (viable) by initiating product changes etc
- Continuous improvement of the product and its attributes (quality, cost, etc.)
- Verify and approve products according to standards and specifications
- Some customer contact to ensure excellent customer experience
- Ensure quality in handling product changes
- Perform ordered product changes in accordance with defined processes
- Be part of the product development process with responsibility in verification in accordance with defined processes


In the future, you might be able to work with external monitoring of upcoming key components and innovative work by attending fairs, investigate different suppliers etc.

Must have
To be successful in this role you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electro, mechatronics or similar. You have at least 3 years work experience relevant for this position. Apart from this, you have experience and competence in:

- Defining requirements and reviewing electronic components
- EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), design for EMC and analysis of test results
- Verification methodologies and test systems
- Planning and implementation of qualifying testing, EMC and environment
- Reviewing and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbal and written
