We are now looking for a Component Owner for our client within the automotive industry here in Gothenburg. You will be a part of our Integro team but working as a consultant out on customer site.
Work Description:
You will work as component responsible engineer for the EM (Electric Motor) that is in production today as well as new development. This includes responsibility for the technical requirements towards the supplier and making sure that the supplier understands the Volvo requirements as well as the customer and application needs. Interact with the supplier and manage the work distribution. Deal with maintenance cases and quality improvements. Have the operational responsibility in the relationship with the supplier. Role can also include recommendation of supplier during sourcing and evaluate new components and select the internal component. Secure cross-functional and business anchoring as well as lead other engineer within the area when needed. You will be main contact to internal stake holders coordinating time plans and releases for various applications.
Typical tasks for component developers in the team
• Development of component TR and secure RTS work with supplier
- Propose design concepts for new development
- Drive the release process within Volvo.
• Main technical communication channel with the supplier and lead the component sourcing process
• Contribute to the team backlog by writing feature and stories
• Actively work with the teams JIRA backlog during the Program Increment
• Review supplier design documents and working process when needed also on supplier sites.
• Establish and update product development time plans matches the intro- blocks
• Identify and drive quality improvements and cost reduction activities
• Secure installation requirements and PAA
Prioritized experience and competence
• Experience in electrical motor design
• Background within Electric drivelines HW development
• Experience from propulsion systems in battery electric vehicles
• Extended experience in development of electrical motors and drive lines
• Development together with system suppliers
• Relevant engineering education
• Volvo systems and process
• CAD (Creo)
• 7 years of relevant experience
Education:
You have a degree in Electronics
Competences:
Electrical vehicle development
High Voltage systems (400-800VDC)
