About us
The Electric Drive Structural Parts team is responsible for the design and development of components such as the housing, inverter lid, bearings, shafts, and cooling systems for Electrical Machines in Electric vehicles. We are working at the heart of Volvo Cars future becoming a pure electric vehicle company. What you will do.
Some of your main responsibilities in your daily work will be to:
* Coordinate and lead the work within your area of responsibility and develop components, technical solutions, and suppliers to reach the objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time and budget.
* Learn the development process for structural parts and inverter integration and the design challenges.
* Take lead in creating a new sustainable way of designing, sourcing and working with our components.
* Work with component design and integration in CATIA and applying CAE tools in your development work.
You and your skills
We believe you are a person with a sincere personality with a high sense of empathy. You are curious by nature, creative and purpose driven by resolving any challenges ahead.
You have at least 4 years of documented experience working with advanced CATIA V5 modelling, or equivalent 3D modelling tool, and have a genuine interest in innovation and design, great communications skills, and fluency in English, both orally and in writing. Experience from mechatronic design is meritorious.
