Aurobay is looking for a Component Responsible to be working in the team responsible for development of intake system and engine plastic covers. The team consists of 10 members working with Diesel, Petrol and hybrid powertrains. We are looking for a person which enjoy having a workday which consist of various tasks and have an interest and motivation to develop, you are possibly also early in your career.

What will you do?
As Component Responsible you will have variously tasks. You will be responsible for engine components during development, production, and aftermarket phase. The role includes close collaboration with multiple suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure deliveries according project time plans.
In early project phase you will be evaluating concept and secure the best option based on technology, risk, and cost. The work includes both technical aspects as well as communication with suppliers, creating time plans, reporting progress towards project lead and align so prototypes are available for pre series builds. To ensure that the concept will work in the final product you will secure packing and integration to vehicle. For build to print articles you are in this phase responsible for the design work and for supplier owned design you lead the work towards our requirements. The concept needs to be verified through testing both virtual and physical, where your responsibility is to define the criteria’s together with help from system responsible that proves the concept and to follow-up progress for the verification.
In later project phase work when the direction is decided the focus shifts to prepare for production start. Communication with the supplier will increase to secure manufacturing and to set up all documentation needed both for legal aspects as well as internal requirements to ensure that quality is at a high level.
After production start you will be point of contact if there would be any issues connected to technical solution or quality of the component.
You will also:
Review and support the development of supplier owned design to fit our requirements
Participate in package meetings for resolution of mechanical conflicts
Receive and define requirements for Aurobay owned components
Close cooperation with different departments both internal and external such as manufacturing, quality, procurement, test and validation, calibration etc.
Keep our product lifecycle management systems updated with latest time plans, models, drawings, deviations etc.
Do you fit the profile?
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a YH, engineering education or bachelor which includes product development or digital design. Experience in design of plastic parts and the automotive industry is preferred, however the motivation to learn new areas is more important.
We believe you are a team player, who has the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. At work, you enjoy problem solving and is eager to work together with others to find new solutions. We need you to be analytical, focused, structured, and to successfully plan and finalize your assignments. You will need to feel comfortable communicating in English as Aurobay is an international company and you will also need to be able to communicate with different stakeholders, and teams. communicational skills are key. Furthermore, you should be flexible and enjoy working in different locations and environments.
Automotive development experience is desired
