Computer management assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the direction of the Systems Manager, act as a network systems administrator for a variety of Department of State systems and applications. Self-direction is required for both routine and critical network administration tasks. Provide equipment maintenance, help desk assistance and user application support.

Major duties include the following:
1. Daily Operations - 15%
2. Configuring and Maintaining Software and Hardware - 30%
3. LAN System Development - 20%
4. User Support Services - 35%

QUALIFICATIONS:

A university degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of four years technical training and relevant work experience is required. Preference will be given to applicants with at least two years experience as a systems administrator supporting a minimum 200-node computer network. CompTia Network+ and A+ certifications are recommended but not required. Level IV fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish is required.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. This position is available to Swedish nationals, permanent legal residents and American citizens with permanent residence permits in Sweden.
2. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
3. Applicant must pass a limited security investigation.
