Computer Specialist

The mission of the Computer Specialist is to lead initiatives regarding hardware at CEVT and its subsidiaries. Lead and prioritize all activities in the backlog for the area. Engage with end users to ensure the best solution and cost effective for CEVT and its partners.
The Computer Specialist is to take responsibility for the hardware lifecycle management for the unique hardware for VR and graphical rendering. This role will also have the responsibility of managing requirements regarding end user-, business- and IT as well as third line support within team and coordination of purchases related to digital workplace.

Job Responsibilities

The Computer Specialist is responsible for managing direct interaction with end users and business stakeholder(s) regarding solution requirements, including both one time and runtime deliveries in application management context.

The Client HW responsible mainly interfaces with the business solution key user(s), support and operation team. The job requires excellent solution understanding, combined with related process knowledge, solution dependencies and interfaces.

Responsibilities

- Document applications
- Evaluate new request
- Create Standard Operations Procedure for Service Desk if needed
- Drive projects and assignment within the portfolio
- Be the bridge between business and suppliers
- Communicate changes to business
- Decisions about request for removable media




Competence

- Good technical knowledge, operating systems (Windows, Linux and MAC) knowledge
- Ability to pay high attention to small details and quality mind set
- Good ability to read and understand system manuals and documentation pertaining to the operations of computer and software applications
- Good problem solving and follow-up skills
- Good oral and writing communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize
- Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative
- Cultural awareness
- Can-do-attitude, flexible and service minded
