Configuration Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Configuration Management Specialist executes the implementation of configurator applications in NPIs (New Product Introduction), is responsible for configurator maintenance of released products and ensures that configured product programs achieve all design objectives, including: feature and functionality, manufacture-ability, regulatory, compliance, cost of the configured product and it?s reflected in the configurator tool.

Essential Responsibilities:

Execute Configurator implementation for new products introductions.
Execute Configurator maintenance for configured products portfolio.
Implementation monthly configurator updates.
Support Life Cycle Engineering with configuration expertise.
Evaluate bug reports and define problem descriptions.
Create case description for configurator updates.
Administrate system specific design components and support updates of document templates.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or Bachelor?s Degree and some years? experience within technical discipline or equivalent
Significant years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study
High level of technical understanding and structural mindset
Demonstrated broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc.)
Fluent in English and Swedish (both spoken and written).

Desired Characteristics:

Master?s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Demonstrated experience with NPI ISO and regulatory compliance process, design history file and collaterals are in place and current
Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of a product/program
