About the job

As a configuration engineer you will be working closely with the sales organization to specify requirements and needs of the technical configurator. Further, you will together with our IT organization, design, test, deploy and support configurator solutions. You are part of a team that develop and maintain the configurator, which is the most important sales tools for one of Alfa Laval’s most important products. The development of our configurator is part of an agile project and it is important to be able to cooperate with several functions in our organization such as Product Managers, Sales Managers, IT System Specialists, Product Owners etc. This will give you a large network across several business functions in an international and cross-cultural environment.

Some of your daily tasks could be:
* Act as important player in the configurator development project
* Support product development projects
* Que manager for incidents
* Trouble shooting & testing
* Support with drawing creation when needed

What you know

We believe you have studied Computer Science, mechanical engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience working with IS/IT, between IT and business or similar. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and fluent in business English. You have an interest in and understanding of the technical domain, combined with a functional and business-oriented understanding. Experience from configuration, working in project according to the SAFe method, product modularization, CAD (2D drawings AutoCAD) is an advantage.
