With us you will be part of newly establishing team of Configuration Management specialists that will create and be the owner of our Configuration Management process within R&D. This is an opportunity for you to shape our implementation of the Configuration Management system to enable fast and frequent SW upgrade to new and existing car models and variants on the market. We aim to evolve systematics of our Configuration Management process to be able to handle product evolution with traceability through the product lifecycle.

Our products are electrified, connected, autonomous and will be frequently enhanced to continuously improve the customer experience. Therefore, we are now looking for someone with deep understanding of Configuration Management for embedded SW product development and deployment. Is this you?

What you will do?
We are delivering complete cars, as well as continuous functional upgrades and software updates to automotive consumers. As a Configuration Management process specialist, you will define and continuously evolve the Configuration Management process in R&D so that our release process will run efficiently. We are not only delivering complete cars to our consumers, but also continuous functional upgrades and software updates.

You will drive inventory of current practices within Configuration Management and drive change management to support the evolution of our development, integration and release flow. You will collaborate tightly with existing SW release team in Volvo Cars and drive change across R&D and wider in line with our “SW-driven company” ambition.
Configuration Management is supporting collaboration cross Volvo Cars disciplines during the life cycle of our products, therefore you will also act outside of R&D for the process deployment and evolvement.

In this role you will lead implementation and deployment of standardized Configuration Management process for the complete car that comply to international standards regarding Configuration identification, Change Control, Configuration status accounting and Configuration audit. You will own the backlog for continuous improvements of the process, contribute in building up the right competence, support SW release process, collaborate with key stakeholders in Commercial Services and Manufacturing. You will be also drive IS/IT requirements for the CM tools and be a contributing member in Volvo Cars Information Architecture and Infrastructure steering team.

What`s your profile
You have documented experience within Configuration Management in embedded products and relevant technical skills which you have successfully applied in complex engineering tasks in the past. You have been as well working with CM improvements and planning, as well as having a good understanding of CM standards mentioned in paragraph above.  
We are a global team which means that the minimum language requirements are excellent English verbal and in writing, however Swedish is always beneficial for us. 

On a personal level you are a collaborative, communicative, curious, and result oriented professional. You are a self-driven team player who within cross organizational collaboration takes on the responsibilities and ownership for own area. 
Collaboration and swift communication feel natural to you, and you actively seek inspiration and influences to continuously improve your work methods. You share your know-how and expertise, contribute and ask for help when need it. At the same time, you have no problem stating your own opinion, and setting high standards and expectations.
