The Nordic Support department is responsible for enabling and ensuring the service management in Group function IT. The unit contributes with designing processes, concepts and implementing them in the service management areas to ensure that the processes provide desired business result.

Job duties
In the role as Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the standards, rules and policies for IT Service Asset and Configuration. The primary objectives are to keep all assets up-to-date together with establishing  configuration and consistency amongst the different parameters like performance, functional attributes, physical properties, etc. 

The goal is to have focus on the administrative and technical functionalities which are associated with all main activities and have a structured way of working with configurations; ensuring that agile teams and vendors can easily create, control, and maintain quality.  

Responsibilities
You will work with, among other things

• Configuration identification and control: specifically and uniquely identifying each item by using a standard naming convention and ensuring each change is authorized/documented.

• Ensure a reliable, fast, and augmented process by correcting incorrect configurations that could influence performance.

• Engage in proactive configuration management activities by analyzing trends or historical data of changes and items.

• Collaborate within and beyond the unit and department in strive for best possible solutions and outcomes for PostNord as a whole.

• Contribute by ensuring continuous improvements, including participating in regular meetings with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on configuration management and Ways of Working.

• Contribute to the follow up on performance indicators that Configuration Management works well and delivers the right output with high quality.

• Contribute to escalation paths for Configurations work as efficient as possible and descriptions are up to date, available and communicated to PostNord and vendors. 

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have

• Education within relevant field.

• Experience of qualified work within configuration management

• Competence in working with data models and developing improvement processes

• Experience of working in an international and outsourced IT environment

• Service Management tools knowledge is a must (preferably Jira servce desk)

• ITIL foundation certification (v 3 or 4)

• Fluent in English

Meritorious experience
 
• Since PostNord is a Nordic organization, knowledge in Swedish or any of the other Nordic languages is an advantage.

• It is an advantage if you have previous experience of established models, methods and tools that are used in IT industry.
