 We are looking for a PLM engineer to join us in Volvo Cars R & D department where we imagine, create, and virtually build the next generations outstanding cars. We have ambitious goals today of being fully electric by 2030, what our upcoming goals will be we need our employees to visualize. Amazing, right?
What you will do
As part of our team you are responsible for the creation and maintenance of Program Nodes in Teamcenter. This with regards to structures, option dictionaries, virtual test objects, modules, and part addresses. You will also proactively support our engineering teams with BOM/CAD alignment issues during our different engineering phases. To summarize the magic of this role – you will support our organization from early concepts and advanced engineering to end-production and after market and work out how we best build the structure for our future virtual cars.
 In our team, External Collaboration Operations & PDM Operations, you as a Teamcenter Configuration Manager will contribute by giving the best prerequisites for our virtual cars. This by setting up and configuring the structure where they reside.
You and your skills
Key qualifications for this role:
* We will believe that your passion for cars is what has driven you throughout your career. We believe you are passionate about cars, both from a consumer perspective as well as the technical side of cars. You have experience from working from working within PLM/PDM and an understanding of car specifications and variant handling minimum 5 years.
* BSc or higher in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
* Solid skills in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

In our team you will experience all phases of car development, and work cross-functional with teams and managers in Volvo Cars to deliver in each phase. This requires that you are highly curious and enjoy and thrive in collaborating with other than you where you need to create, and present solutions with high integrity to stakeholders sometimes with skills other than you. Support of end-users and other teams will be a part of your daily work. You also have a strong logical side and are very detail oriented when handling daily administrative task, to balance your creative side.

Where you’ll be
You will be working from our headquarters in Torslanda, Gothenburg in a hybrid setting.
