Conformity of Production Manager

The Automotive Regulatory and Compliance department is responsible for the management of Automotive Regulations, Vehicle Homologation (Certification) and all product related compliance issues. We are now looking for a Conformity of Production Manager to the Environmental Homologation department. We are responsible for performing homologation and ensure that production fulfils all relevant requirements over the product lifecycle. Our responsibility includes exhaust and evaporative emissions, fuel consumption/CO2, on-board diagnostics, pass-by-/stationary noise and engine power. Conformity of Production testing is required to maintain authority issued type approvals, a failure to do so could lead to revoking of the certificate to sell a specific vehicle.
As Conformity of Production Manager you will be overall responsible for the Conformity of Production (CoP) process within Volvo Car Group. In this role you will be responsible for development of processes for planning, execution and follow up. You will work together with the certification team as well as other cross functional teams in order to ensure efficient and quality assured processes. The process is continuously audited by authorities from several countries and you will take an active part in governance, preparations and follow up of these audits. You will also be leading CoP for Emissions, Fuel Consumption and Engine Power and work closely together with the CoP Coordinator who handles the everyday logistics and test lab planning issues.
Main responsibilities
* Ensure efficient and quality assured processes for CoP
* Initiate corrective actions when deviations are identified
* Create and coordinate annual test plans
* Management of emissions, fuel consumption and engine power CoP
* Negotiation and purchase of external testing capacity, as well as speaking partner for external test laboratories
* Develop planning, testing and reporting systems
* Owner of test results database
* Internal reporting of results
* Reporting to EU authorities
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. or equivalent
* Powertrain knowledge and work experience
* Knowledge in vehicle development processes
* Well-developed communication and cooperation skills
* Excellent administrative and IT skills
* Fluent in English and Swedish, written and spoken because of the rules and regulations surrounding the area
Personal qualities
* High integrity and used to taking lead in cross-functional teams
* Process oriented mindset
* Structured and used to presenting comprehensive data in an easy to understand way
* Ability to build relationships and establish networks
* Ability to perform and deliver both individually and in cross-functional teams
