Connectivity Engineer with networking focus

We are looking for a Connectivity Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment at least one year ahead, with very good opportunities for extension.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
You are fully responsible for matters concerning the networks and have a lot of contact with clients with whom you create long-term collaborations. In support matters, it is your role to provide technical opportunities for your colleagues and customers to be connected to each other. Your customers are active in many different places around the world, so it is often required that customers connect special equipment that you are responsible for, in order to make connection and configuration possible.

For example, you will:
* Configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
* Troubleshoot, optimize and update network equipment
* Keep in constant contact with customers and colleagues regarding network status

In the long run , the role will also involve developing and improving the networks, as the goal is to expand the support function with a junior colleague who will take care of simpler matters while you focus on further development and more complex matters.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
* Has previous work experience in a similar role
* Has deep knowledge in networking in a Linux environment
* Is completely fluent in English, speech and writing

Since this role handles specific networking equipment that you probably don't have knowledge in, it is important that you have detailed knowledge in how networking works when it comes to, for example, VPN layers, network troubleshooting, IoT and similar important knowledge within networking.

For this role, great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. Since you have a customer-oriented role and will work with troubleshooting on a daily basis, it is required that you are:
