Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is a world leading provider of transport solutions. We are together with our partners and customers driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system. Sustainability at Scania is also about having a healthy workplace with diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities for men and women.
Connected vehicles are important keys in Scania “driving the shift” strategy. Through vehicle-generated data and associated control capabilities we enable the transparency, efficiency and sustainability of electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and the overall logistics ecosystem.
At the Connected Systems department (EC) at Scania R&D we work with enabling solutions with a span from telematics, IoT solutions, and applications for vehicle data and control. We have both the end-to-end responsibility for the daily operations of Scania’s connectivity platform, communicating with all our vehicles across the globe, and the continued research and development of the platform’s new capabilities, used by services and solutions at Scania, as well as by customers and partners in the logistics ecosystem.
What you will do
In the newly established section ECX – Technology Strategy, you will work with developing strategy for our ecosystem of solutions. Specifically, you will manage the value creation analysis of the connectivity platform.
As a part of creating a conscious direction for what Scania needs to do to remain a premium heavy commercial vehicle brand in a digitalized world, your main focus will be the development of a value creation model for the connectivity-based platform capabilities. This involves analysis and modelling of how different connectivity platform functions drive cost and what the respective potential revenue/value capabilities of these functions are. In this work, you will connect the dots from functionality-driven shared and specific data costs to the value generation of externalized platform capabilities. We foresee this to be an essential tool in focusing, prioritizing and deselecting capabilities in the technology roadmap, where your strategy contribution to Connected Systems will be essential.
