About the job:

The Construction Leader will be responsible for:

- Manage all the construction aspects of specific building projects from start to finish.
- Provide technical and cost input to internal IKEA partners in the project process during the project development / conceptual designphase.
- All permitting, physical and cost aspects relating to the detailed design and construction phases of the project.

- Lead the internal co-operation between the Tenant and Property and external co-operation between authorities, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
- Be the Inter IKEA project representative in all matters involving external counterpart.
- Manage and obtain the permits that enable construction of the project to be started.

- Manage procurement of external consultants, suppliers and contractors in accordance with established IKEA procedures.
- Management of all external and internal counterparts to ensure that project construction is carried out correctly to satisfy the project requirements on site safety, quality, time and budget.
- Ensure satisfactory commissioning, testing, training and delivery of technical and building systems to the manager and technician personnel, including providing all necessary documentation.



About you:

Qualifications:

- Academic degree in civil engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to lead across functions and organisations.

- Experience in complex tender processes.
- Experience in contract negotiations.
- Experience in construction management on site.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- English, both spoken and written.
- Good ability to plan and organise.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Share IKEA values and act accordingly.
