The Conventional Facilities Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Construction Manager for Campus Area.
Description of directorate/division
Campus Project Group within the Conventional Facilities Division.
Mission:
Mission is to bring the Campus project consisting of offices, labs and workshop to market in a collaborative lease agreement contractual set-up. Once a committed external party in on-board, follow through the construction execution and ESS in service mode. Overall target is to keep the yearly lease cost below the committed operation ESS budget.
Description of main responsibilities
* Elaborate and develop project delivery model for a lease agreement from external party. The project is based on requirements approved by ESS Feasibility study, ESS preliminary design and ESS stakeholder´s requirements.
* Lead the development of tender material, evaluation criteria and contract documentation.
* Keep cost control and financial control throughout the process.
* Lead estimate and re-estimates throughout the project and decision process.
* Prepare and present decisions material.
* Work on establishing the for ESS and chosen external party´s most cost efficient construction sequence and detailed project schedule.
* Collaborate and liaise with ESS Legal and Procurement Divisions and external advisors/consultants.
* Quality
* Environment.
* Health and Safety.
Qualifications?
* MSc in Civil Engineering or Real Estate Management.
* All round extensive project management experience.
* Hands on experience from commercial and office project development and/or construction.
* Well familiar with procurement processes, development of contract documents and tender material including evaluation criteria and tender evaluations.
* Extensive experience in cost control and estimating qualities.
* Well able in coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders/ end users, designers, architects and property developers.
* Excellent communication skills written and spoken in both Swedish and English.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
