Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.

With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 8 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Munich & Paris with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 100 members of staff in 7 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

Construction Manager

*base location is negotiable

We are going places and for that we need to hire our first in house Construction Manager to lead our global retail, pop-up, office and any other interesting brand building, community focused, expansion projects we can find!

Our spaces are not only used for selling products but act as a real hub for each community we place them in. We hope you are a person who takes pride in connecting with each location in a unique and personalized manner and enjoys seeing the flexibility and connections that can be made via each store or office or pop up. You will also build a team around you as you come on board and see which roles are needed to move in a fast paced, sustainable and efficient way as we grow.

MORE ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

From experience, we can tell that the Construction Manager role demands organization, attention to detail, and the ability to stay connected to the big picture. As the intermediary between architects, brand, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory personnel, this position also requires superb communication, decision making and leadership skills.

The CM will lead and plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. The CM will furthermore be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects. This includes everything from flagship stores to pop-ups as well as offices and refurbishments when they become needed.

The CM is responsible for keeping construction projects running correctly from start to finish. They do so by monitoring the progress on-site in their field office. Then, they decide what needs further attention or notify other parties if something hasn't been accomplished according to urgency levels specified by the business owner.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

We seem someone with 5+ years of experience within retail/fashion construction. You should have been a Project Manager or Construction Manager who have led multiple projects and new locations from end to end. Experience from doing projects in multiple countries is also a must-preferable multiple regions like EMEA and APAC.

Previous leadership and/or consultant management experience in a CM or Project Lead role is a plus.
