Construction Manager - MEP

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe and construction is set to begin in 2023. To make that happen we need the best to join our in-house Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) team. We are now looking for three different Construction Managers - Mechanical and Piping, Electrical Distribution, Instrumentation and Controls to join our fantastic team – come be a part of an exciting journey together with us!

As a Project Engineer, you will be a key player in all infrastructure aspects of the project. You will work closely with the Design Manager, Block Manager, and others in similar roles, holding a central position in the project. You will act as the spider in the web, providing information to the block manager and other stakeholders to ensure the progress of the projects. Your work will involve communication with both external and internal contacts in various forums to ensure clear and effective communication of project-related information. In addition to your role in the projects, you will engage in ongoing internal administration tasks, such as creating status reports in our reporting system or processing various orders.
You will also:

- Handle project administration in ongoing projects, including Change Orders Management.

- Prepare documents, decision materials, and contracts.

- Monitor schedules and payment plans.

- Review technical consultants' documents (e.g., drawings and descriptions).

- Participate in design and construction meetings.

- Assist in project cost monitoring.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have :

- University degree in fields such as engineering and/or urban development.

- Some experience in project economics and budget management.

- Good command of both written and spoken English and Swedish.

- Knowledge of construction law, familiarity with standard agreements such as AB, ABT, as well as reference works like AMA and AF AMA.

- It is considered advantageous if you have participated in projects related to roads, land, and underground utilities such as water supply (VA), electricity (EL), and communication.

As a person, you are attentive and enjoy collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. You consider it part of your work to contribute to the project's development by sharing your experiences and knowledge. You are solution-oriented, as unforeseen situations often arise, but you approach them in a structured manner. The work offers a lot of autonomy, so you need to be self-directed and proactive.

Our Gigafactory in Gothenburg will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe, with a potential annual cell production capacity of up to 50 gigawatt hours (GWh) - thereby enabling a supply of batteries for approximately half a million Volvo and Polestar cars per year. Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
