Do you have practical work experience of Construction planning and Site work? We are now offering an exciting position within this field!
As a Construction Planner you are involved both in sales phase and during project execution.


Every project is unique. It can vary from smaller process islands to a part of a green field pulp mill project. Valmet is a global company, and you will work with projects around the world.


Since we are looking for two Constructions Planners, your office and closest colleagues will be either in Karlstad or Sundsvall, Sweden.


As a Construction Planner, you are part of the project organization, working on both sales and ongoing projects, with colleagues from different disciplines. In your daily work you will have the opportunity for many different contacts to a various number of professionals, both internally and externally such as customers and sub-contractors.
The work includes planning and scheduling, cost estimating and cost forecasting in sales and delivery projects. Planning comprising the identification and specification of the type and scope of the erection work covered by the contract, defining the prerequisites and requirements for the execution of the erection work as well as the manpower, equipment, and auxiliary materials requirements.


Who are you?
First you have practical experience from piping or mechanical construction and site work. You are comfortable working in different computing systems such as the common MS Office solutions. You will also get the opportunity in this role to learn other special tools to manage estimation and planning activities. Most likely you have a technical education from colleges or similar. Good communication skills in English and Swedish are required.
As a person you are self-confident, structured and can prioritize even in pressured situations. You enjoy working in teams and have good communication skills. You are aware of the importance of sharing information, experience, and insights quickly within the team. As a Construction Planner it is important to be curious and eager to dig deep into problems to find the best solution.
