 We are now expanding our global footprint and are on the lookout for new talent who can help us grow in the market of premium electric cars, a market where cars will be increasingly sold online, B2C. We are looking for a change maker who thinks about communication opportunities in exciting and different ways and who wants to help build our brand among foremost a younger audience. 
What you will do
We’re looking for an experienced Consumer and lifestyle PR strategist who has an eye for identifying and developing impactful lifestyle-based opportunities and stories, creating multi-channel strategies to see them through to execution. You are a creative and critical thinker who want to change the world with us at Volvo Cars and help build our brand among foremost a younger audience. 
You will work within the Central PR and Communications Team, focusing on lifestyle media but also influencer marketing. You will be in close contact with our marketing team, brand collaboration team and content & event team. 
For us, a Consumer PR Strategist is someone who can build and expand Volvo Cars’ network within the lifestyle media segment as well as work with the drafting of consumer communication strategies and messages.

In Volvo Cars’ Central PR and Communication Team, the pace is high, and we are in daily contact with media around the world as well as in our markets and regions. You will need to work efficiently and independently. A big focus is on international lifestyle media and the building of relationships with key journalists globally. 

As a Consumer and lifestyle PR strategist, you will develop PR strategies as well as assess and support interview requests and opportunities for Volvo spokespeople. You will have close contact with our regions and markets, which you will support with consumer and lifestyle media requests as well as proactive PR activities. You will also monitor relevant media outlets for communication opportunities and needs. 

Qualifications 
We believe you have around 5-10 years of background within consumer and lifestyle PR – preferably as a lead position and preferably from a lifestyle brand and/or a global company – will be needed in this role. We would like to see that you have experience of oversee, draft and implement global strategies, and you have a general understanding of working methods for journalists as well as of influencer marketing. 

You have a good and natural ability to build networks with internal and external stakeholders, and it is beneficial if you already have a good network of international – and potentially Swedish – lifestyle journalists. 

We’re looking for you!
•    Strong interest in pursuing a career in Consumer and lifestyle PR including Social Media and a very good understanding of what both involve 
•    Natural networker
•    Be prepared to travel for various events
•    Used to move around in a global environment
•    A genuine passion for lifestyle/cultural areas like music, art and entertainment, but also in tech
•    Passion for reading a range of print and online editorial media, social and digital news updates and following content from lifestyle influencers
•    Understanding and enthusiasm for how the most popular social media channels work, with some knowledge of how brands use them
•    Strong skills in written and spoken English communication, but you don’t have to be a native speaker as we have specific writers who produce media assets
•    Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work 
•    Able to take responsibility for actions and meet deadlines with a can-do attitude

This position can be based at Volvo Cars’ tech hub/office in central Stockholm, or at our international HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.
