What do we offer?
Confirm Consumer Value - This is the purpose of Product Validation & Function Architecture, a department within Research and Development at Volvo Cars. The Consumer Data team is a part of this department, with the purpose to provide data and analysis support. Focus of the team is to work with both objective (in vehicle measured) and subjective (customer surveys and equal) data.
Are you passionate about the data and analyzing human behaviors, and would like to have an impact on the future of Volvo Cars? Would you like to join the Consumer Data team and further enhance the usage of the data when designing our future products? We are now looking for a Consumer Data Analyst with a mindset to influence, collaborate and team up with our teams.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for development of the custom models and algorithms to apply to large datasets (both numerical and text), as well as processes for monitoring and analyzing their performance. You will perform data mining (including preprocessing of the data) and analysis of the data from different data sources. Your responsibilities will also include usage of predictive modeling to optimize customer experiences as well as the current and future products and services.
You will have a lot of interaction throughout the organization and collaborate with different stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business decisions. You will also share the results of your analysis in an easily accessible and understandable way.
Do you fit the profile?
We see that you have you have a MSc Degree in a relevant area (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) or equivalent expertise. You have a strong passion for data and data science, you know how to apply data science methods and techniques in order to generate consumer value and subsequently increase consumer satisfaction.
Further you have previous experience from applying a wide range of statistical techniques to large data sets and understanding their real-world advantages/drawbacks. You have proven experience in data modelling (concrete examples are highly appreciated) and are experienced within data visualization, building dashboards and interactive graphs such as Power BI and similar. You also possess programming skills for data analysis and modeling, preferably in Python.
As a person you are an easy going and open-minded team player with strong communication skills in English. To be successful in this role you also need advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. In order to fully understand the feedback from our consumers, we see that you have a driver license (B).
Meritorious skills would be a strong business acumen, experience within agile way of working or in using web services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
