We are looking for you, a creative, news writing wiz who want to broaden your skills and are intrigued by working in a high-tempo and international environment where new ideas and initiatives are encouraged. This is a fixed-term contract for approximately one year, covering parental leave.
About the role
As our Content and Media Relations Manager, you will use your exceptional networking and relationship-building skills to learn about new and interesting achievements and initiatives at SSE to create high-quality news. Here is a selection of your areas of responsibilities:
- Media Relations: practical as well as strategical work with different media channels (including social media), creation of press releases and day-to day contact person for press relationships.
- News and content creation: Responsible for the whole news creating process from idea to published news bites including identifying interesting research, internal initiatives and activities as well as monitoring external news and identifying hot topics.
- Outreach network: Organizing and providing support to internal outreach communicators and leading meetings.
- Some minor picture and video editing may be involved.
Future spotting – year 2021
During 2021, we see that we in a time- and cost-effective way, further strengthen the School’s visibility nationally and abroad by actively focusing on media work. Some ideas have been formed and discussed but the plan is not set, thus providing an interesting opportunity for you to play a key part in the planning and execution of media and communication goals.

There is more
As our Media and Content Manager, you will be a part of SSE's largest unit called External Relations, a consolidation of four sub-departments. In addition to having the whole organization as your primary network, you will also be a part of a high-performance team called Communications and Marketing, which is one of the sub-departments.
