Are you a skilled Content Editor with strong editorial understanding and digital communications skills? This is a great opportunity to join the Internal Communications team at the Marketing and Communication department where the goal is to contribute to building the perception of H&M. We tell inspiring and engaging stories to bring the H&M world alive.
Marketing & Communications Department is a global function that consist of 450 employees at the Head Office in Stockholm and supports all 74 markets around the world. The department has the responsibility to build the H&M brand, internally and externally when it comes to brand awareness, attraction, and loyalty. The department constantly drives change, making sure that H&M’s communication is customer oriented and aligned with our brand DNA. We are now looking for a Content Editor to join our Internal Communication Team.
Job Description
We are now looking for a Content Editor with a passion for storytelling. You will take part in the producing process – do research, write, edit and publish articles. You will also contribute to making sure that our channels are effective, relevant and up to date. In this role you will support the Communications teams in the H&M sales markets with your guidance and expertise, giving them the best prerequisites to succeed in their work. Key responsibilities include:
Producing: write briefs, do research, source and provide suitable assets, do interviews and write articles, text edit and proofread.
Visual competence: Create image content in Photoshop or InDesign according to guidelines for articles and newsletters. Take photos when needed (and create visual briefs to agencies).
Publishing: Daily work in the CMS (Content Management System) with responsibility to publish content in all channels on all platforms, roll out of content for all markets and handle translations. Ensure that the H&M global content is published according to guidelines and time schedule. Contact and follow up of technical issues within the CMS.
Supporting: Support local markets in their day-to-day work and long-term activities giving them the best prerequisites to succeed in their work. This includes regular follow ups and updates of the training material and guidelines for local teams.
As part of the Internal Communications team and the Communications department, contribute to the overall goals of the team and department.
Be well updated on internal communications and actively support and contribute to Content Responsible with relevant insights.
Qualifications
We believe that you have a passion for communication and writing and a good eye for detail. You are a great team player with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders across teams, whilst at the same time being self-driven and able to work independently. You have a non-prestigious attitude and always strives for improvements. As for your professional background we are looking for candidates that have:
Experience from a similar position
A formal education in Journalism, Communications and/or Copy Writing
Capability to communicate in an inspirational way, know image editing and have a good eye for composition and detail
Proven experience of working within an editorial context and/or in an editorial team; in a media house, in-house content agency or content agency
Hands-on experience with established Content Management Systems as AEM
Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills and fluency in English, both verbal and written
Ability to lead the creative processes from idea to final result
Have a good understanding of the new communication landscape
