About you…
You believe that creating great digital products means that they are fit for purpose and excellent content is a means for building brand and business. You have extensive experience in developing content strategies, managing content teams and resources, growing an online community and tracking that community's growth with for example defined metrics and goals, among other duties. In addition, as this job is a Content Management job for all the digital products in Retail Concept, you must have an interest in the IKEA concept, a passion for the IKEA brand and commerciality as excellent content is definitively among those strong things that makes IKEA unique.
In addition, we expect:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience as content manager in a smaller context with duties such as
Experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing skills
Deliver content in high-pace well under deadlines and be detail-oriented
Driving content optimization and brand consistency
At least 3 years of hands-on experience and as an expert with people responsibilities of a team of content communication specialists or other roles as you must guide, lead and coach them as they are deployed in the digital product teams such as for example IKEA.com Global.
Have excellent skills in digital and in-person communication, marketing, and leadership skills, as well as knowledge of digital marketing software, tools, and methods with a focus on web content and SEM/SEO.
Have good understanding of the social media platforms (social media management) and how this can be utilized in the total IKEA channel media mix of communication to create buzz and direct internet traffic according to strategies.
Creativity and the ability to develop original content.
Ability to develop content that provokes engagement.
Strong leadership qualities.
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English or related field.
As Content Manager – Digital Capabilities Retail Concept, you will:
Define the overall content strategy for the whole Retail Concept product area. Both short term and long-term.
Formulating a cross-product content strategy that is aligned within but also outside with other content heavy areas at IKEA.
Writing, editing and proofreading content.
Managing content professionals consisting of writers, graphic designers, videographers, etc which are deployed in the different digital product teams, so content style and layout fit together from holistic point of view.
Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas.
Guide and provide help for all content re-sources deployed in the digital product team as an expert.
Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency
Define metrics and goals for understanding the total content performance of the total portfolio.
Manage content across all products, including social media.
Work together with SEO specialists to optimize SEO.
Be a stakeholder on current CMS solutions so content distribution flowing according to needs and demand.
Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
Stay up to date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention in the area of content.
A few more details for you:
This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is located in Malmö, Sweden. Some travel will be required. In this role you will be reporting to the Capability Area Manager.
