You’re a natural when it comes to writing interesting headlines that stops people from scrolling. You know how to ask the right questions, find newsworthy stories and valuable insights that grab attention. You have incredible research skills and verify every claim in your articles for authenticity. Perhaps you're a journalist looking to pivot into marketing? We want you!
What you’ll do
Collaborate with the CMO to develop long-term brand building initiatives and short-term awareness campaigns
Produce content at scale - either from writing new content or repurposing content - working with our in-house team and agencies
Write effective email and landing page copy, subject lines, and messaging
Craft compelling copy with a heavy focus on web copy and digital executions but also sales decks, etc.
Own the blog and create engaging, entertaining & educational posts that will be promoted across a range of channels and platforms
Understand how content accelerates the sales process, and help to manage, influence, and distribute content accordingly
Watch videos and webinars in order to write emails, social media posts, and copy that will promote these pieces of content online
Conduct friendly outreach to bloggers and press outlets for the purpose of growing online visibility
Manage and set up marketing campaigns in our marketing automation platform
Involvement with other marketing and growth activities as needed
Must-have skills and experience
In order to be successful in this role, you must have at least 3 years experience in:
An English writer with strong copywriting and storytelling skills
Planning, creating, executing, and measuring multi-channel marketing campaigns
Proven ability to generate creative ideas that attract attention on the web
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects while still working effectively
Can set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Pays close attention to detail and has strong editing skills
It’s a huge plus if you have
A background in journalism!
A love for playing with numbers in your content!
Interest in playing with code and design
Previous blogging experience or growing a company or personal brand
Previous experience in SEO and keyword research
Genuine interest in the role of Internet has on culture
